Sarah and Austin have stamped a first and important photography moment for me. We met earlier this week to do an engagement photography session. That day we knew there was a chance of rain but hoped we could miss it, dang am I glad we ran strait into it. We started with overcast and about 5 minutes later the skies opened up a true downpour. I asked if they wanted to cancel and reschedule or go for it and see how the pictures turned out. I think their decision to go for it, is the perfect sentiment to what their life together will be. They embraced the rain and danced in. After a while the rain let up and wouldn’t you know a rainbow graced these two. After the session, Sarah took the time to share that her Uncle Luke had passed away in December. She went on to say that, “he was one of the most influential men in my life. When he passed I was left broken. Austin has picked up those broken pieces and holds me together with more love than I could have ever imagined.” Throughout their relationship, a rainbow keeps appearing including the day Austin proposed and now the day of their engagement. To Sarah and Austin, these rainbows are Uncle Luke smiling down on them. So with that said, thank you Uncle Luke for gracing us that day and ending their engagement session with the perfect rainbow.
